Colt try the police market

From Autocar Magazine, w/e 28 February 1976

The Colt Car Company have recently been putting a police demonstrator version of their Galant 1600 estate car round various police forces in Great Britain for evaluation. The car is fitted out by Bosch to latest radio specifications, and has attracted a great deal of comment from the forces who have tried it. The car is claimed to be the only Japanese police car in Europe, but so far no police force have braved the wrath of rate-payers to order one. However Colt say that some forces have been most enthusiastic in their praise of performance, comfort, handling and economy.
